Resurrected

We recently renovated an apartment and there were suddenly a bunch of blank walls. I took the opportunity to revamp failed past works from my studio and the result of the largest such effort is below. It was a failed image transfer, and I couldn’t bring myself to toss it and waste all the supplies involved. It sat rolled up in the studio, hours invested and many more needed to revive it. And so this one became an experiment, something to play with, and I’m pleased with the result. The dark circles are little portals into nearly unrecognizable bits of Rogers Pass in winter. The piece, about 7.5 feet wide, was originally intended to be part of the Few Are The Giants series, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned.
