What's your style?

My style combines a big emphasis on candid, photojournalistic shooting, a bit of guided posing (not everyone knows what to do in front of the camera), and always an eye for the small moments and details that help tell the story of the day. For the most part, I try to blend into the background, but I know when to step up and wrangle the wild groomsmen too.

Am I going to have to pose and smile for hours to get a good shot?

Not at all. I'm a big believer that your wedding day should be spent with your crew, all those great people that came from far and wide to see you and love you up. I'm quick. And I'm sneaky about fitting in a few posed portraits here and there, so that it never feels like a chore.

Yep. And they can be a great way to warm up to the camera. No practice is required, we'll make great photos either way. But if you're extra nervous about how it might all shake down on the wedding day, an engagement session can put you at ease.

How much is this going to cost me?

Wedding packages start at $4500. Elopements start at $2200. I also have creative suggestions on how you can afford a real investment in wedding photography. After all, you'll want your photos to be around for generations, long after any other remnant of your wedding day (other than your love, of course). All packages include print-ready digital files and the option of adding a beautifully crafted flushmount album.

MY Man is Camera Shy, IS THAT A PROBLEM?

I am too, so I understand. I do everything I can to put people at ease, and I've been told I have the ability to pull folks out of their shell when the camera is around.

How far in advance do we have to book?

I love the privilege of documenting weddings, but I only take a limited number of bookings each year. Sometimes that means I'm booked a year in advance, sometimes I can fit in an elopement next week. There's no hard and fast rule, so when you know your date, get in touch

This sounds right up my alley. How do we book?

Start by sending me a quick message with the date and location of your wedding to check my availability. From there, we can set up a time to chat by phone or in person to be sure it's a good fit. When we've settled on which package is going to work best for you (or crafted a custom package to meet your needs), I'll send you a contract to firm things up. The booking process is complete when I've received the signed contract and your deposit. Then the date is all yours, meaning you can cross a big item off the planning list and kick back with a glass of wine. Yes.

Adam and I couldn't have been happier with Claire as our wedding photographer. Claire's professional and fun attitude throughout the day put both of us at ease and made us feel confident that all our special moments would be captured. Adriann Legate
