I met Sabine on one of her very first weekends in Golden, the first of many many. Her big sister Simone has come to know Kicking Horse as a second home, and surely Sabine will too. If she's anything like the rest of her family, Sabine will feel a sense of belonging in these here mountains. Welcome, little one.

The title of this blog post is only a half truth, failing to mention that Chris and Krystal were but one part of the double elopement I documented on a chilly November Saturday at Emerald Lake Lodge. Kieran and Melanie, Krystal's sister, also eloped that fine day. It was a rare treat to see two lovely sisters in wedding dresses, tearing up at one another's vows, the special witnesses to one another's union.

The Bebbs have a new babe! Little Nesta arrived in July, and I stopped in to their lovely Hiilhurst home a couple weeks ago to meet her (and catch up with her big brother and sister, Isaiah and Elinor). It was a short visit, but there was time to hear a tune on the piano, check out the latest scooter moves, walk to the park, climb a tree or two, and even take some photos. These guys are fun to be around, and Nesta's settling right in, with a most serene style.

I love the shoots where it feels more like hanging out [and jumping in piles of leaves] than a photo session. Such was the case with this fun family. Silly kids + autumn leaves + parents armed with a rake. A simple equation, a guaranteed result. Thanks for the good times, Svensdens.
