Karen recently decided to put a bit more Karen into the marketing of her massage business. This decision brought about a quick headshot session, results below. For a massage from someone who really knows what's up, give this girl a call. 250-344-1212
Noel and Haley had a beautiful winter wedding at Lake Louise Ski Resort this past weekend. The falling snow added a bit of magic to an already dynamite day, launching these two off on a life of travel and adventure and simple living. There's talk of a tiny house in their future, along with talk of epic trips, a few wild nights, some quiet afternoons. There's much good that lies ahead, and it was exciting to see them take their first snowy steps as a married couple together.
Alexander and Chloe had the most lovely of autumn weddings in Wilmer last month. It was quiet and intimate and full of K9 antics. There was a cozy ceremony on the patio of the much loved weekend family home, and photos in the meadow below the house, and some tromping around the back roads of Wilmer. As the evening rolled in, the small party of close family sat down for a feast from The Old Bauernhaus Restaurant in Kimberley, delivered and seamlessly executed by the folks of the FoodEx truck. Low key and high end, all in one celebration. Can't imagine what more one could hope for. I snagged this first photo on the drive down from Golden. Seemed to perfectly summarize the feel of the autumn weekend.
Love these guys. I wanted so much to be a witness to their exchange of vows in one of my favorite places on earth, Hanalei Bay. They said some lovely things to one another in front of their closest family members on September 26 on Hanalei beach. I was in a class in Montana. But the next time we all were in Golden, during Thanksgiving weekend in October, we took some photos out on their amazing land in the Blaeberry. It wasn't Hawaii warm, but it wasn't quite Golden cold either. Somewhere in between. Love and laughs and some puffy down jackets between locations got us through the shoot. Yeah Jeff! Yeah Katie! So stoked for you two.
Trevor and Karen put careful thought into the planning of their day, and then they rolled with the curveballs of wild weather with serious aplomb. "Whatever, let's just have a great day." And a beer. From what I could tell, it was indeed a great day, and a great celebration. Originally the plan involved an outdoor ceremony in the Spirit Square in downtown Golden, but the backup plan of the stage of the Civic Centre was a good fallback. The party proceeded on from there, cozy amidst the walls of the newly refurbished Centre. As the marque read, it was a party not a performance. The stars of the night shone bright either way. Bravo, Trevor and Karen!
