Here's one for you, what do you get when you combine a grey morning, a house on the lake, a Hudson's Bay blanket, a bright yellow canoe, and a soon-to-be-wed couple? Why these photos of course! Joel and Mariko, getting ready for a bright future together.

Steven and Jennifer live across the pond now, but her roots are here in Western Canada. We met up at Moraine Lake on a cool morning to incorporate these magnificent mountains (and blue blue lakes) into all the enthusiasm around their recent engagement.

These guys come out to Panorama on the regular to rest and refresh, a break from their busy home life in Saskatchewan. And next summer, they're coming this way to get hitched. It's going to be good times, even though Moose won't be able to be part of the festivities. I went ahead and let him play a lead part in this photo shoot to make up for it.
We did these photos at one of my most favourite secret spots, at the home base for Columbia Wetland Adventures. Turns out the cat might be out of bag on this one, as they'll be offering their very cool spot up as a wedding venue in 2017.

Jan and Katie spend all their free time at Kicking Horse. Winter and summer, they come and play in the mountains. They'll be getting married in the mountains too, in August amidst the towering peaks around Field. We went out to get some portraits of the two of them here, in this place that is the home in their hearts.
After witnessing some wild weather at the top of the gondola, we headed back to their place to be entertained by the antics of Rusty the exuberant lab.

When I first met with Warren and Mya, it was meant to be a really quick hello, how are ya. An hour passed, maybe two, and we were still chatting away. They're easy to roll with, and with the added prop of their adorable retriever, Ben, they're easy to photograph as well. Looking forward to their summertime mountain top wedding.
This was fun! Photos with a dancer and a soccer star. They had a really logical reason why they consider themselves not-so-photogenic, and why they thought it might be best if they stay that way. I tried my darndest to prove them wrong. The key? Laughing a lot in between frames. That's what we're going to do on their wedding day too.
