Don and Brandy have had many an adventure together, dating all the way back to the raucous days of high school. This past Saturday, the pair embarked on a new adventure, kicked off with a sunny wedding at the Eco-Adventure Ranch in Golden, BC. Friends and family had journeyed from afar to help celebrate the duo. The weather cooperated in incredible and unexpected ways. There was love and comedy and handmade details. It was all a couple of high school sweethearts could ask for, really.
Carmen Buckner of Karmalot Jewelry handcrafted some amazing earrings for the bridesmaids. Love.
The lovely bouquets were done by Flowers from Home, a Nicholson based business with serious style.
We stopped by the Riverhouse for a round (or two) of shafts. This is the bar to pop into for a quick boozy pick-me-up, a favorite with Golden locals at all hours of day and night. The shaft is a secret creamy concoction of espresso and some tasty liquors, slurped down in one big gulp. Zing!
Brandy made all of the origami balls that decorated the reception area. I loved them.
I've seen my share of shot-skis in my day. This was the first shot-board I'd come across. Thoughtfully and thoroughly decorated for the special occasion by Brandy's friend and boss, Tricia. Bravo!
