There couldn't have been a better autumn morning for an engagement session in the Columbia Valley; this one was about as good as it gets. My camera and I followed Trevor and Karen (and Wally!) on a little wander near the river, along the tracks, through the grass. Heard stories of the proposal, made from their nearby dog park overlooking Calgary. Walking with Wally seemed like a natural fit for some pre-wedding photos. He's likely not to make it into any photos on the wedding day, a little less than a year from now. Already looking forward to capturing the ceremony in Spirit Square, and the good times to follow at the newly renovated Civic Centre. I expect it'll be a tight knit group at the wedding, since Karen and Trevor went to high school together. Love that.
Wally was as happy as a dog can be. Bounding through tall grass still wet with morning dew, his people fully engaged in other activities (pun only kind of intended). He's full entertainment, this little hound.
